FIresticks, Diane Glancy. University of Oklahoma Press, 1993. First edition.

First edition hardcover with dust jacket. No markings. Near fine condition.

Diane Glancy is an Indigenous poet, author, and playwright. Her work often reflects her Cherokee heritage. She is respected for both her free verse and prose poems, and writes about history, religion, and the loss of Native traditions. ‘Firesticks’ “incorporates elements of fiction, nonfiction, drama, and poetry, Diane Glancy’s stories are lyrical yet down to earth, often tough and gritty…experimental, sometimes surreal in form, they nevertheless concern people who are very real…” (goodreads).
